Medical Definition of ISOCITRATE DEHYDROGENASE
: either of two enzymes which catalyze the oxidation of isocitric acid to alpha-ketoglutaric acid (as in the Krebs cycle) and of which one uses NAD as an electron acceptor and the other NADP—called also isocitric dehydrogenase
